August 12-18 Daily Schedule (Hotels and dinners included. Activities subject to change based on availability and circumstances)
August 12th (Day 1): Arrival in San Diego, Welcome Dinner & Music Conference
- Morning: Arrive in San Diego, transfer to hotel for check-in.
- Afternoon: Free time for rest and adjustment.
- Evening: Welcome Dinner & Music Conference: A music scholar or pianist will give a lecture on the development of classical music in West Coast of America.
August 13th (Day 2): China-U.S. Piano Exchange Workshop & La Jolla Concert Experience
- Morning: Participate in the U.S. Young Pianist Exchange Workshop, performing alongside young local musicians and sharing learning experiences.
- Afternoon: Explore the historic Old Town San Diego.
- Evening: Included Dinner at Phil’s BBQ* (famous San Diego barbecue) & Attend a concert at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in La Jolla (based on availability)
August 14th (Day 3): Disneyland or SeaWorld San Diego Full-Day Excursion
- All Day: Choose between Disneyland or SeaWorld San Diego for a day of entertainment, performances, and interactive experiences.
- Evening: Included dinner at a specialty restaurant in Anaheim or San Diego.
August 15th (Day 4): Los Angeles Music Exploration & GRAMMY Museum
- Morning: Travel to Los Angeles
- Afternoon: Explore the GRAMMY Museum to discover the history of music recording, genre evolution, and legendary artists. (add-on optional: masterclass and/or private lesson at The Colburn School. Additional fees required)
- Evening: Included dinner at an American style restaurant & Attend a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall or Hollywood Bowl (subject to availability).
August 16th (Day 5): Masterclasses at The Colburn School
- Morning: Visit The Broad Museum (add-on optional: masterclass at The Colburn School. Additional fees required)
- Afternoon: Colburn School Masterclass -- attend two masterclasses featuring Colburn faculty, and member of LA Phil.
- Evening: Included dinner in LA.
August 17th (Day 6): Stage Performance & Ceremony
- Morning: Ceremony-- students will present their learning achievements, receive certificates, and take group photos.
- Afternoon & Evening (This is an optional events. Extra fees and reservation required in advance):
- Stage Performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
- Included dinner in LA
August 18th (Day 7): Departure
- Morning: Music Reflection & Sharing Session-- Participants discuss their learning experiences.
- Afternoon: Transfer to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for departure.
Besides the above tour schedule, one can choose to participate in the masterclass, lesson, and performance only.
